GOLFING BREAKS

The Banffshire coast has numerous golf courses, many within easy reach of Headiton Holidays. Outwith the months of July and August, week-end and short break hires are possible (minimum stay 2 nights), if you want to use us as a base to play some or all of the courses detailed below.

Duff House Royal Golf Club was formed in 1910 and is a 18 hole, flat parkland course at the side of the River Deveron. The course is 6161 yards long and has a par of 68/69. This golf course also has a inviting clubhouse which is open to visitors. We currently have vouchers that will allow you 15% off  pre-booked tee times. Fyvie Golf Course is a 9 hole pay and play golf course, which opened in September 2003, with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. It can be found just off the A947 (a mile from Fyvie) and is ideal for both the experienced and inexperienced golfer. Further details can be found at www.fyviegolfcourse.co.uk   

 

Royal Tarlair Golf Club - pictured above is just about next door to Headiton and further details can be found about this golf course at www.royaltarlair.co.uk. It is 5,866 yards long, with a par of 71. We currently have vouchers that will allow you a reduction of £5.00 on all green fee tariffs.   

Cullen Golf Club is an 18 hole traditional Scottish links course and is 4,597 yards long and has a par of 63. Further details can be found at www.cullengolfclub.co.uk

Fraserburgh Golf Club is an 18 hole links course (Corbiehill), and is the oldest golf club north of St. Andrews. Fraserburgh also has a 9 hole parkland golf course (Rosehill) which has a par of 33. We currently have an agreement with this golf club that they will allow Headiton holiday-makers 10% off a round of golf; but booking is essential. Details of both these courses can be found at www.fraserburghgolfclub.org

Turriff Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland course on the banks of the River Deveron and is a parkland course. It is 6145 yards long and has a par of 70. Further details can be found at www.turriffgolfclub.com

Strathlene Golf Club is an 18 hole cliff top links course, built in 1877. It is 5,977 yards long and has a par of 69. Clubs and Trolleys are available for hire. This golf course does not currently have a web site. so please phone 01542 831798 for further information.

Buckpool Golf Club is an 18 hole links style course in the fishingtown of Buckie. It is 6169 yards long and is a par 70/69. Full details of the course and catering facilities can be found at www.buckpoolgolf.com

The 2011 Barclays Scottish Open  was held at Castle Stuart Golf Links on the 7-10 July.This course is situated between Inverness and Nairin on the Moray Firth Coast........I can recommed their web site for views of the course - www.castlestuartgolf.com
