Local Activities

The Banffshire coast is an ideal holiday area with fishing, numerous golf courses, picturesque fishing villages, whisky and castle trails and glorious sandy beaches. For those of a more energetic nature, there are numerous coastal walks.

Boat Trips - For those that are adventurous, try this web site www.north58.co.uk

Castles - Delgatie Castle, near Turriff, is a must if you are fond of castles that are that little bit special and a visit here would not be complete without tea and cake in the Tea Room www.delgatiecastle.com

Another castle well worth a visit is Fyvie; although it is a little further away, it is well worth the trip -have a look at their web site for further details www.fyviecastle.com

Scuba Diving - www.northeastdive.co.uk   You can keep also up to date with what is happening and when by having a look at their Facebook page.

Bird Watching The WDCS Wildlife Centre Centre, Spey Bay is well worth a visit and there are numerous walks. After your walk, I can recommend browsing for gifts in the nearby shop.

Cinemas - Just in case it rains one day of your holiday, why not take a trip through to Elgin and visit the cinema while you are there. Check out this web site to see what is showing and when     www.morayplayhouse.co.uk

We can also recommend a visit to Baxters Highland Village, Fochabers on the way to Elgin. The pancakes in their restaurant/tea room are a treat...............as is a wander round the 'village' shop.

Macduff Aquarium -We recently visited the aquarium and were amazed at what there is to see here. There is something for everyone to enjoy; for further details phone them on 01261 833369.
